Windows Live Mail Beta video review

I recently tried out the new Windows Live Mail Beta from the Windows Live Essentials Beta suite. Some stuff I liked, some I didn't. Watch the video below to see and hear what I thought about it.

I have found the Beta very buggy, well the Messenger part anyways. Upon waking up it won’t log me in and sometimes I am logged in and everything looks fine but I am showing up offline to everyone. The mail and messenger client have both had some issues when resizing windows. I’ve also found that both process keep running in task manager after i close them. The photo gallery is an improvement but the facial recognition could use some work. Overall I like it and hopefully they will fix it up for the final release, feels kind of more like an Alpha release.

I don’t use Live Messenger, but tried the beta anyway. After using it for about a minute I just closed it because it’s a total piece of crap in its current form.

I’m still on XP, so I won’t be able to test and/or use WML 2011, but I like what I see.

One thing that I don’t know why it’s now placed there is the Delete and Junk icons. I mean, don’t people use the Reply, Reply All, and Forward buttons more? Why are said former icons first?

You know, one of the (many) things I’m actually looking forward to is the strikethrough feature, I really like that.

Send later as you described it would be awesome!

    I liked the review.
