Some towns are good at that, most are not. So I don't use traffic reports at all from a GPS device. The best bet for road conditions while driving is your local FM radio station that gives updates every 15 minutes or so. Those are much more timely and far more accurate. Not only does it give the the alert it identifies the time. It has gone off prior to seeing the alerts on my local tv stations.
