Prototype 1975 Free Spirit Buick Century pace car

For the guys following this car and my discoveries with it, what you’re about to see will shock you, but here it is:

No, this is not a Free Spirit gone wrong, it’s the prototype before the final design. The bird is different, the bumper and headlight bezels painted, the wheels black, no Hurst Hatches and the interior… RED. Yep.

Thank God this isn’t what the finished car looked like. :-)

I’ve purposely kept from posting this because it’s darn ugly but I figured well.. why not.
