TRON: Legacy

I finally got around to seeing TRON: Legacy. On a four-star rating I'd give it a 3. It's above-average and very well done, but is yet another one of those movies that focuses too much on effects and not enough on story just like The Incredible Hulk.

on K-PAX, people used netscape on a mac

There are some web sites are there that have literally been untouched for almost 10 years. Once such example is www.k-pax.com. What is it? It's a promo site for the movie K-PAX, released October 26, 2001. The k-pax.com domain hasn't been touched since 2002 since the movie was released to DVD. This is especially obvious since the site says "Flash 5 Required". To put this in perspective, we're all using Flash 10 now.

internetting in the 90s: realplayer

There was a Reddit post recently called One of the worst things ever to come out of the 90's, and it was nothing but a single image of the RealPlayer software. At the time I write this, the conversation is 1,110+ comments strong; it is ridiculous how many people remember that audio/video player from the Windows 95 and Windows 98 days..

'Starfield Simulation' screen saver in Windows 7 64-bit

The only screen saver in Windows 7 64-bit that I actually like is "Ribbons". All the others are terrible and require way too much horsepower just to run a frickin' screen saver.
