How much future tech of Total Recall 1990 became reality?

This may not be fantasy for long because there are already prototype giant-sized super wide transparent computer monitors. Those do exist.

When those screens do go to production, yes it would be possible to make them operate just like regular security station glass panes for guards to monitor people walking by.
